Another year, gone so fast.
It’s been a stormy year. A continuous onslaught of surprises barrage us. Within our marriage, things haven’t been the smoothest. There have been constant readjustments of our life, constant reworking of our plans, constant relearning about our relationship and recommitting to make it work. It was a hard year. And at the end of a long twelve months we can also look back and say, “It’s been a good year.”
I wonder if that’s what anniversaries are for- not just the much-needed excuse for an expensive dinner and the wearing of lipstick.
But the marker by which to measure how far we’ve come.

We definitely see our anniversary as a marker of how far we have come. A reflection on the previous year and a re-committment to each other for the years to come!
