a practical party.

by Liz on 01.23

Two weeks ago, Meg Keene launched her book tour for A Practical Wedding! This book tour is a big stinkin deal, including awesome highlights- such as being sponsored by Amtrak, featured on NPR and making a stop off at the Alt Summit.

This weekend, the tour will be hitting the East Coast. I’m really excited about making both Saturday’s stop in Brooklyn and Monday’s stop in DC! Check out the details for Brooklyn here and for DC here, and if you’re around Philly, “like” the brand new Facebook APW Philly page to stay on top of what’s going on!

My only decision now is which is more important- bringing Little Josh to meet everyone, or being babyless and free to go to a sweet afterparty?

Who all is coming?

My ability to participate in this event is causing me all kinds of grumbles, because it’s devolving into a showdown between me and internet friends and him and friends-he’s-known-since-kindergarten… The nerve.
I think I’ll be coming to Meg’s book signing in Brooklyn, and if I do, I will show up early to make up for not being able to go to the Best Party in the History of Brooklyn. Pout/Yay!

Also, I think it’s in Park Slope, where you basically NEED to be carrying a baby to get into a bar. So, there is that.

Was Meg already on Talk of the Nation? I thought I heard some talk on twitter that she was going to be. Do you mean it already happened and I missed it???

I know lots of people want to meet little Josh, but if I were you I’d go baby free so you don’t have to worry about him and you can just enjoy meeting people and partying!

I was under the impression it’s happening this week… but I don’t know for sure. Hm.

I think it is totally up to you, as Ms. Bunny said. I would love to meet the little guy, but I can see how you might have more fun/worry less if he stayed home. plus side if you do bring him: you have like 50 babysitters following you around.

I’ll be there!!

Erin is right, a baby is your best accessory in Park Slope, but it’s also understandable to leave him home to make the traveling/partying easier on you. Excited to see/meet you with or without Josh!
