fashioning philadelphia.

Elfreth’s Alley is a historic section of Philly known as the oldest residential street in the country, with the oldest home on the strip dating back to 1728. I love walking the alley just because the brick buildings are so quaint and adorable, but they also have a great museum offering tours of some of the homes.

Right now, the museum features a brand new exhibit called Fashioning Philadelphia, and in honor, they’ll be hosting a fashion show this weekend at the Painted Bride Art Center. They’ll be showcasing designs by local Philly designers and art students, as well as some stuff from Philly area boutiques. Tickets are $25 for adults, but they’re offering you guys 10% off ticket prices with the code FASHPHILLY. Pretty exciting stuff! For more information, check out their blog.

Though I won’t be making it out to this event, I’m really looking forward to stopping by the Alley on June 6th for Fete Day!
