The crossing guard on our street is really enthusiastic about his job.
Even when no kids are around, he jumps into the middle of the intersection with his stop sign, directing traffic, grinning the entire time.
I wonder how much he looks forward to the first day of school.

We have a really enthusiastic crossing guard on our street, too! Maybe it’s just the best job ever but they keep it hush hush?
